Coughlin wants no more trash talk

New York Giants coach Tom Coughlin has warned his players to not trash talk with future opponents after their heavy 27-0 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in week six.

Several players exchanged words with rivals from the Eagles ahead of the game and the eventual loss ended a three-game winning streak for the Giants.

"We had a lot of meetings today and it has been reiterated to us that [the talking] didn't get us a win," defensive end Mathias Kiwanuka said, the New York Daily News reports.

"It wasn't anything that helped, so we have to focus all of our energy and efforts on only doing things that are going to help us win."

The Giants will look to bounce back against divisional rivals the Dallas Cowboys in week seven, with their opponents now 5-1 for the season.
