Half-Time Report: Dallas Cowboys score late to lead Detroit Lions

Cowboys score late to lead Lions

The Dallas Cowboys scored a late touchdown to take a slender 10-7 lead into half time of their match against the Detroit Lions this afternoon.

The hosts took the lead at the end of the first quarter when Calvin Johnson collected a two-yard pass from Matthew Stafford before David Akers added the extra to make it 7-0.

The Cowboys reduced the deficit to four with 5:44 left in the second quarter as Dan Bailey struck a mammoth 53-yard field goal to make it 7-3.

The visitors then took the lead with 51 seconds left on the clock as Tony Romo fired a quick pass to Dez Bryant, who beat two defenders in the air to complete the five-yard touchdown.
