Browns DC Horton hails secondary

Cleveland Browns defensive coordinator Ray Horton has hailed the performances of his side's secondary this season.

The Browns are the fifth ranked defense in the NFL this season and one of the reasons has been their ability to cover their opposition's wide receivers, including the Cincinnati Bengals' AJ Green, who was held for 51 yards in their first game this year.

"Joe [Haden] has done a fantastic job of being pressured to cover the rarest of athletes in the NFL — that can run and jump and catch — without hitting the guy past five yards," Horton told the Akron Beacon Journal.

"So he's having a fantastic year. I think Buster Skrine is having a fantastic year. I think TJ Ward is having a fantastic year.

"And I think my biggest surprise and probably the MVP for me is Tashaun Gipson. He has done a remarkable job for us."

The Browns face the Bengals on Sunday in their week 11 clash.
