Report: Giovani Bernard fine after rib injury

Cincinnati Bengals running back Giovani Bernard is not expected to miss playing time after sustaining a rib injury against the Miami Dolphins.

Giovani Bernard has sustained a rib injury which is unlikely to force him to miss playing time with the Cincinnati Bengals, according to reports.

The rookie running back left the 22-20 defeat to the Miami Dolphins in the fourth quarter last night, before returning to the sidelines wearing pads.

NFL.com reports that the 21-year-old should be OK to return to the field for the AFC North side's next game against the Baltimore Ravens next Sunday.

Bernard has 361 rushing yards, 267 receiving yards and six touchdowns so far this season.
