Gilberry: 'Pressure on Manning was key'

Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Wallace Gilberry believes that his defense's ability to pressure Peyton Manning was critical to their victory over the Denver Broncos.

The Bengals sacked Manning twice during the game, but provided regular pressure on the quarterback to knock him out of his rhythm and force him into throwing four interceptions at Paul Brown Stadium.

Gilberry told reporters: "If you let a guy like that settle his feet he's going to make some big plays. We just stayed on him and stayed on him and stayed on him and stayed on him.

"I'm not sure how many times we hit him or sacked him, but it was enough to cause disruption and to give our guys on the back end time to make plays."

Marvin Lewis's men reached the playoffs courtesy of the victory over the Broncos, and have the chance to clinch the AFC North division in the final game of the season.
