Report: Chicago Bears' Tim Jennings undergoes knee surgery

A report suggests that Chicago Bears cornerback Tim Jennings has undergone an operation on his knee but will return for his team's off-season workouts.

Chicago Bears cornerback Tim Jennings has undergone surgery on his knee to clear up an issue before the start of his side's off-season programme.

The 31-year-old featured in all 16 games for the Bears during the 2014 campaign as he managed to play through the knee injury as other members of the secondary were ruled out for the year.

However, Jennings has been forced to have arthroscopic surgery on one of his knees to clear up the injury, but is expected to be ready for his side's off-season workouts in April, reports ESPN.

The cornerback recorded 50 tackles and one forced fumble in the 2014 campaign.
