Injury problems for Panthers

Two of the Caroline Panthers' key players picked up injuries in their Monday night win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Defensive tackle Ron Edwards has been placed on injured reserve after disclocating his left elbow.

Running back Jonathan Stewart is also expected to be out of action for some time after sustaining a high ankle sprain.

DeAngelo Williams will stand in for Stewart if he is unable to play, while Frank Kearse has been signed from the Panthers' practice squad as a defensive tackle.
