Spiller "excited" about working with Ryan

Buffalo Bills running back CJ Spiller has expressed his excitement about the prospect of working with new head coach Rex Ryan.

Ryan was confirmed as the successor to Doug Marrone at the franchise following the 50-year-old's decision to opt out of his contract at the end of the 2014 campaign.

Spiller has admitted that he is looking forward to playing the brand of football that Ryan has been known to use during his tenure as a head coach in the NFL.

"It strikes me well," Spiller told NFL Network. "That's what I love to do is run the football. And Rex, that is what he's known for, running the football, being physical, playing that hard-nosed football.

"I'm excited about it. This is a great opportunity for us to get this thing turned around. We ended this season on a 9-7 record, now it's just time to build on that and get into the playoffs."

Ryan was fired by the Bills' AFC East rivals the New York Jets at the end of the 2014 season for posting a 4-12 record.
