Buffalo Bills replace EJ Manuel with Kyle Orton at quarterback

Buffalo Bills head coach Doug Marrone confirms that the club have benched former first pick EJ Manuel in favour of Kyle Orton as his side's starting quarterback.

Buffalo Bills head coach Doug Marrone has announced that Kyle Orton will replace EJ Manuel as the club's starting quarterback.

Manuel has been the Bills' starter since he was drafted in the first round of the 2013 Draft, but has struggled with injury and a lack of form, especially in the 2014 season, forcing the team to make the switch to the veteran.

Marrone told reporters: "It's not all EJ's fault. We need to get better production out of that position. We can't keep going in the direction that we're going."

The Bills dropped to 2-2 in their season with their defeat to the Houston Texans on Sunday.
