Buffalo Bills release veteran punter Brian Moorman

The Buffalo Bills release veteran punter Brian Moorman for the second time in two years as part of their roster cutdown for the 2014 season.

The Buffalo Bills have announced that they have cut veteran punter Brian Moorman as part of their roster cutdown.

The 38-year-old rejoined the Bills during the middle of the 2013 campaign after being released by the club in 2012.

Moorman had previously enjoyed a 12-year career with the club, and also spent time at the Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburgh Steelers following his initial release.

However, the Bills have chosen to end the affiliation for the second time ahead of the 2014 season as Jordan Gay has won the battle at the position.

The Bills have also released Xavius Boyd, Landon Cohen, Dominique Jones, Kamaal McIlwain, Sam Miller, Evan Rodriguez, Naaman Roosevelt, Jared Wheeler and quarterback Jordan Palmer.
