Terrell Suggs: 'I knew I had to make a play'

Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs reveals that it was vital that his side made a play against Ben Roethlisberger to defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs has admitted that he knew he had to make a play to stop the Pittsburgh Steelers rallying against his side in their wildcard-round victory.

The Ravens stunned the Steelers to advance to the divisional round with a 30-17 win at Heinz Field, which was partly down to a huge play from Suggs in the fourth quarter as he intercepted a pass from Ben Roethlisberger with his legs to stop a comeback from Mike Tomlin's men.

"I knew that Ben had been coming from behind against us for years," Suggs told reporters. "I knew when the play was called to just be patient because he's going to try to make a play.

"Had I dropped it, ain't no telling what Ben would've done. It was just being in the right place at the right time."

John Harbaugh's side face the New England Patriots in the divisional round at Gillette Stadium on Saturday.
