Baltimore Ravens part company with Wilbert Montgomery

The Baltimore Ravens announce that running backs coach Wilbert Montgomery has left the club following a poor season for John Harbaugh's side in their ground attack.

The Baltimore Ravens have confirmed that they have parted company with running backs coach Wilbert Montgomery.

John Harbaugh's side struggled to rush the ball all season with Ray Rice and Bernard Pierce, who both had down seasons as they managed a combined for a franchise-low of 1,328 yards and 3.1 yards per carry.

"Wilbert has decided to pursue other coaching and life opportunities," Harbaugh said in a statement.

"I want to thank him for everything he did for our organization. Wilbert has been a tremendous coach for the Ravens."

The Ravens missed the playoffs this season just months after winning Super Bowl 47.
