Ozzie Newsome: 'We are talking with Daryl Smith'

Baltimore Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome reveals that the club are in talks with Daryl Smith about returning for the 2014 season.

Baltimore Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome has revealed that the club are in discussions to bring linebacker Daryl Smith back for next season.

The 31-year-old joined the Ravens last season from the Jacksonville Jaguars to bridge the gap after John Harbaugh's side lost future Hall of Famer Ray Lewis to retirement following their Super Bowl win.

"Daryl did a great job for us," Newsome told the club's official website. "We have engaged in some conversations with his representative."

Smith had 123 tackles, five sacks and three interceptions in the 2013 season.
