Atlanta Falcons director of player personnel Lionel Vital has revealed that he is staying with the club.

Vital was interviewed for the vacant general manager's position at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers following the sacking of Mark Dominik earlier this month, but has pulled out of the race for the role.

Vital told the Atlanta Journal Constitution: "I'm staying with the Falcons."

The 50-year-old has been with the Falcons since 2008.
