Steven Jackson vows to improve Atlanta Falcons run game

Atlanta Falcons running back Steven Jackson is determined to improve his side's run game next season after ranking last in the NFL in the 2013 campaign.

Atlanta Falcons running back Steven Jackson has vowed to help his side improve in the run game next season.

The Falcons ranked last in the league in total rushing yards in Jackson's first season at the club as he missed time with a hamstring injury.

He wrote on his official website: "We fell short in a lot of things last year, but I was definitely most disappointed with how consistently low we ranked in the rushing game.

"The first thing on my to-do list is to make sure that we rank in the top 10 in rushing, and every statistical category when it comes to the rushing game."

The Falcons finished with a 4-12 record in the 2013 season, just a year removed from appearing in the NFC championship game.
