Arizona Cardinals' Patrick Peterson to see increase in offensive plays

Arizona Cardinals defensive back Patrick Peterson reveals that his workload on his side's offense is to increase.

Arizona Cardinals defensive back Patrick Peterson has revealed that head coach Bruce Arians intends to increase his contributions on the offensive side of the game.

The 23-year-old has become a standout corner and punt returner for the Cardinals after being drafted fifth overall in the 2011 Draft.

However, his unique skill set is tempting Arians to make him an integral part of his side's offense.

"[Arians] told me he was going to give me a share of plays on the offensive side," Peterson told ArizonaSports.com.

"I didn't know it was going to be this many. I think now we're up to 60 plays."

Arizona begin their regular season campaign against St Louis Rams on September 8.
