Azerbaijan's Khetag Gazyumov clinches gold in men's freestyle 97kg wrestling

Azerbaijan's Khetag Gazyumov has claimed the gold medal in men's freestyle 97kg wrestling at the European Games in Baku.

The 32-year-old overcame the Russian Federation's Abdusalam Gadisov 3-1 in the semi-finals to book his place in the gold-medal match.

Gazyumov maintained his composure in front of his home crowd to defeat Elzibar Odikadze of Georgia 3-1 in the final to secure his country's 10th gold medal of the games.

Gadisov and the Ukraine's Valerii Andriitsev won the bronze medals in the event.
