John Isner ends Kyle Edmund's French Open campaign in second round

Britain's Kyle Edmund is knocked out of the French Open following a straight-sets defeat to John Isner in the second round.

Kyle Edmund's French Open campaign came to an end in the second round on Wednesday as he suffered a straight-sets defeat to John Isner in Paris.

The Brit, who has never progressed further than the second round in the clay-court Grand Slam, was beaten 6-4 6-4 6-4 by the American.

Edmund failed to create a single break point in the first set as Isner converted his fourth break point before taking the lead in 33 minutes.

The Brit came close to breaking back in the second set, but he squandered three points as Isner looked comfortable on the court.

It took Isner 37 minutes to wrap up the third set as his single break of serve was enough to push him into the next round.
