Team GB swimmer James Guy has made it through to the final of the men's 200m freestyle at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro by just 1/100th of a second.
The 20-year-old, who narrowly missed out on a medal in the 400m final on Saturday, placed third in his semi-final with a time of 1:46.23, just 0.07s ahead of Kacper Majchrzak.
The other semi-final was a much more competitive affair, with Sun Yang - the first ever Chinese man to win an Olympic swimming gold - leading the pack on 1:44.63.
One of the favourites for the event, Chad le Clos, had to settle for fifth place with a time of 1:45.94.
Australia's Thomas Fraser-Holmes placed sixth in the same semi-final, but his time of 1:46.24 left him an agonising 0.01s behind Guy for the final place in the final.
The final of the men's 200m freestyle takes place Tuesday at 2.21am BST.
