Great Britain's Adam Peaty has won a gold medal and set a new record time for 2016 in the men's 100m breaststroke at the European Aquatics Championships.
The 21-year-old's finish time of 58.36 seconds was enough to secure the European title and add it to the world gold he claimed in Kazan last year.
Second place in the event was also secured by Team GB as Ross Murdoch took home the silver medal after coming in behind Peaty, finishing in 59.73 seconds.

Bronzes for Ben Proud and Fran Halsall in the 50m butterfly and relay gold medal success for a squad comprising Peaty, Fran Halsall, Chris Walker-Hebborn and Siobhan-Marie O'Connor took Team GB's medal haul on the second day of the event to five.
Five British swimmers have the chance to add to that total on day three at the London Aquatics centre, with Chloe Tutton, Molly Renshaw, Dan Wallace, Max Litchfield, and James Guy through to finals.
