Charlie Hodgson plays down points milestone

Saracens fly-half Charlie Hodgson insists that scoring 2,500 career points in the Aviva Premiership is "just one of those things".

Charlie Hodgson has insisted that scoring 2,500 points in the Aviva Premiership during his career is "just one of those things."

The Saracens fly-half, who announced earlier this week that he will retire at the end of this season, passed the milestone during the team's 48-18 win over Worcester Warriors this afternoon.

The 35-year-old told BT Sport: "I'll celebrate the milestone when I finish playing. It's just one of those things, kicking is one of my jobs on the field and because I've been around for such a long time that total has got bigger and bigger."

Saracens have won all five of their matches in the Premiership so far this season, leaving them at the top of the table.
