Sky Sports seals rights to broadcast live Chinese Super League games until 2018

Sky Sports seals a three-year TV deal to broadcast live action from the Chinese Super League.

Sky Sports has secured the rights to broadcast live action from the next three seasons of the Chinese Super League.

A number of well-known players, including Graziano Pelle, Ramires and Hulk, now ply their trade in China's lucrative top flight.

The CSL season runs from March to November, and Sky will broadcast games live, starting with the clash between Shanghai Greenland Shenhua and Jiangsu Suning on Saturday, July 30.

The following day, viewers can watch Sven-Goran Eriksson's team Shanghai SIPG take on Guangzhou R&F, with both matches being shown on Sky Sports 3.

Sky Sports head of football Gary Hughes said: "This is more great news for football fans as we get set for our biggest ever season on Sky Sports. The Ping An Chinese Super League is attracting players from Europe and is creating a really exciting competition that will only add to an incredible line up of live football on Sky Sports."

Sixteen teams compete in the league.
