Andrew Flintoff: 'I took viagra night before England Test match'

Former England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff reveals that he once took viagra midway through a Test match.

Former England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff has revealed that he once took viagra midway through a Test match in order to prove an ex-girlfriend wrong.

The 37-year-old has claimed that he took the pills after an ex of his revealed in an interview with the News of the World that he did not perform well in bed.

Unfortunately for the cricketer, the effects of viagra hampered his performance on the field, which resulted in him getting run out.

"I decided I had to put that myth to bed even though I was in the middle of a Test match," Flintoff told the Daily Mail. "I took three Viagra one night and didn't realise how long they lasted. Trying to bat the next day in that state was not easy.

"I was run out, simply because I couldn't move. I could only hop. It wasn't worth it, either. Complete waste of time."

Flintoff's story is being used in his stand-up show which is currently touring the UK.
