Fans 'criticise Williams for using "stick thin" models'

World number one tennis star Serena Williams has reportedly been criticised for choosing "stick thin" models to wear her designs at a recent catwalk show at New York Fashion Week.

The 33-year-old American, who failed to complete the calendar Grand Slam by getting knocked out of the semi-finals of the US Open last week, unveiled her new clothing line this week.

After facing abuse on social media about her athletic figure following her Wimbledon triumph, Williams has been criticised for not using plus-size models in her catwalk show for HSN Signature Statement Collection.

According to the Daily Mail, one fan said: "Is anyone criticising her for sending stick thin models down the runway? No? Talk about double standards."

Williams's rumoured boyfriend, rapper Drake, sat in the front row of the show alongside Vogue's editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
