Republic of Ireland and Burnley midfielder Jeff Hendrick is found not guilty of using or threatening to use violence by a jury at the Circuit Criminal Court in Dublin.

A jury at the Circuit Criminal Court in Dublin has acquitted Republic of Ireland and Burnley midfielder Jeff Hendrick of violent disorder.

The 25-year-old pleaded not guilty to the alleged offence, which took place outside a nightclub in the Irish city four years ago.

At the end of a four-day trial, Hendrick was cleared of using or threatening to use violence, with the jury returning a unanimous decision.

Hendrick's co-accused, Jonathan Doran, was found guilty of violent disorder for an incident that took place on the same day.

Burnley signed the midfielder from Derby County for a sum of £10.5m last summer.
