Lionel Messi shows off blonde hairstyle ahead of new season

Barcelona forward Lionel Messi has adopted a fresh new look ahead of his return to training by sporting a blonde hairstyle.

The ex-Argentina international, due to link up with Barca for their training camp in England next week, has gone the same way as Aaron Ramsey, Phil Jones and James Rodriguez in dying his locks during the summer months.

Long-term girlfriend Antonella Roccuzzo, who gave birth to the couple's second son last year, posted a snap on Instagram of Messi relaxing with his new metallic peroxide look.

Messi called time on his international career last month following Argentina's penalty shootout defeat to Chile in the Copa America final, while also contending with a high-profile court case which came to an end three weeks ago.
