She told Herts & Essex News: "I'm absolutely ecstatic and really pleased. It was a really tough fight, I knew it would be going into it. I think this will be the last time I fight. It's definitely going out on a high.

"My boyfriend has come up to watch. This is the highlight of my career. I've been training really hard it's been my main focus for a while now.

"It's been absolutely awesome. I went to the Opening Ceremony and people said I got on TV so it was fantastic. I absolutely loved every minute of it. I'm going to enjoy the rest of it now. I'll be supporting everyone else and hopefully we can get a few more medals."

Scotland's Sarah Clark won the gold in the category, beating Helene Wezeu Dombeu of Cameroon in the final.
