Lewis Hamilton tops final practice ahead of Brazilian Grand Prix qualifying

World champion Lewis Hamilton goes fastest in third practice at the Brazilian Grand Prix as he chases another Formula 1 victory.

Already-crowned world champion Lewis Hamilton has set the fastest time of third and final practice at the Brazilian Grand Prix.

Hamilton posted a time of 1:12.070 at Interlagos to edge out Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg, who was 0.123s slower.

The Mercedes have been top in all three practice sessions at the penultimate Grand Prix of the season, and once again were too fast for the Ferraris of Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen to live with.

Vettel was almost 0.7s behind Hamilton, while Raikkonen was over a second slower than the three-time world champion.

Valtteri Bottas of Williams completed the top five, but his teammate Felipe Massa could not make it into the top 10 on home turf as he posted the 12th-best time.
