Shi: 'Investment at Wolves won't be a problem'

Fosun International representative Jeff Shi has said that one of their first aims at Wolverhampton Wanderers is to provide 'smart investment'.

Last Thursday, it was confirmed that the Chinese conglomerate had successfully taken over the Championship club, which has resulted in the Black Country outfit being linked with an array of potential transfers.

While Shi has suggested that they will provide funds for new players to be signed, he has indicated that Wolves will only look to sign "the right players".

At a press conference attended by Sports Mole, Shi said: "Any investment into the club will not be a problem for us. For players, we should think about it the smart way.

"We have said we will invest between £20m and £30m over the next two years. That is a necessity and if necessary we can put more money in.

"The most important thing is getting the right players in the right position to help the club. I do not think money is a problem for us."

It was also suggested at the press conference that Kenny Jackett would remain in his position as head coach.
