Alan Pardew will be given one final chance to save his West Brom job, as he has reportedly been informed that he will still be in charge for the trip to Watford.

West Bromwich Albion manager Alan Pardew has been informed that he will remain in charge for at least another week, according to a report.

The 56-year-old confessed after the Baggies' 2-1 home loss to Huddersfield Town on Saturday afternoon that he is now clinging to his job.

Pardew's position has come under serious threat following a run of one win in 14 Premier League matches since taking over in November, leaving Albion bottom of the table and seven points adrift of safety.

Having already sacked chairman John Williams and chief executive Martin Goodman this month in an attempt to arrest the alarming slump, Guochuan Lai was expected to swing the axe before West Brom's next outing.

However, The Guardian reports that the former Newcastle United and Crystal Palace boss is to remain in charge for next weekend's trip to Watford, although defeat in that one and he will be handed his P45.

West Brom have accrued just eight points in 14 Premier League matches under Pardew - four fewer than their first 14 games of the campaign before his arrival.
