Tony Pulis: 'Reaching milestone at Stoke City is amazing'

West Bromwich Albion head coach Tony Pulis says that he feels "privileged and honoured" to have reached 1,000 games in football management.

West Bromwich Albion head coach Tony Pulis has admitted that it is "amazing" for his 1,000th game in football management to be taking place at former club Stoke City.

Pulis spent almost a decade at Stoke during two spells at the Potters and on Saturday, he takes his West Brom side to the Britannia Stadium as he reaches four figures in the dugout.

The 58-year-old told reporters: "Getting to 1,000 games in management, for the game to drop at Stoke, it's amazing really.

"When I come out of football I'll look back and think of my 1,000 games as an achievement. Now it's just the next game for me.

"I have been privileged and honoured to have managed a lot of clubs on the way to taking charge of 1,000 games."

Pulis will be hoping to guide the Baggies to a second successive win after they beat West Ham United last weekend.
