Tranmere Rovers have confirmed the signing of Aston Villa youngster Janoi Donacien on a short-term loan deal.

The 20-year-old defender, who usually plays as a centre-back, will join the League Two club until January.

"Janoi is a player I've watched a number of times for Villa's Under-21s," manager Rob Edwards told the club's official website. "He's a good defender who is very athletic and will give us extra strength in depth at the back."

Tranmere continue their League Two campaign on Tuesday when they make the trip to Wycombe Wanderers.
