Report: Sunderland interested in Roma forward Edin Dzeko

Premier League side Sunderland have expressed an interest in signing Roma forward Edin Dzeko, according to reports.

The Giallorossi recruited the 31-year-old from Manchester City last summer, but he has struggled to make an impact, scoring 10 goals in 39 appearances in all competitions last season.

According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Sunderland have made a bid of around £8m for the Bosnia & Herzegovina international, but the player himself is said to want to remain at the Serie A club.

Turkish giants Besiktas have also reportedly made their interest in Dzeko known to Roma.
