Mauricio Pochettino: 'Tottenham Hotspur must believe in title dream'

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino urges his players to "believe" that they can overturn the five-point deficit to Premier League leaders Leicester City.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has urged his players to "believe" that they can overturn the five-point deficit to league leaders Leicester City.

Spurs kept in touch with the Foxes courtesy of a 3-0 victory over Bournemouth this afternoon, and can now focus solely on the league having been eliminated from Europe earlier this week.

Pochettino admitted that Leicester are in the driving seat, but believes that the lack of European football can help his side in the closing months of the season.

"It's true we go into a different period now to recently. After the international break we'll play one game every week, and we'll have time to prepare games in a different way, to train, to improve and do a lot of things that were impossible before," Pochettino told reporters.

"We are in a moment where we need to see our future in a very good way. It's important to keep working hard and fight in every game.

"The gap Leicester have with us, Arsenal and City, we need to reduce. It's true they have a good advantage but we need to fight and believe. We need to believe."

Tottenham's three games immediately after the international break come against Liverpool, Manchester United and Stoke City.
