Harry Kane talks up Dele Alli partnership

Tottenham striker Harry Kane insists that his fruitful partnership with Dele Alli at club level can be replicated on the international stage.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has insisted that the partnership he has developed with Dele Alli at club level this season can translate to the international stage.

Alli has provided seven assists for Kane in the Premier League this season - the most from one player to another in the entire division.

Between them they have scored 28 goals to help Spurs to an unexpected title challenge, and Kane sees no reason why their good form cannot continue for England.

"Obviously it depends if we play together, that's down to the manager who he picks, but we do have a great understanding. I think people have seen that this season. Not just with Dele - Kyle Walker as well set me up on Sunday," he told reporters.

"We have a great bunch of English lads here at Spurs so we just have to see what team is picked and we go from there. [Alli] is a great player. As a striker when you make the runs whether it's from crosses or forward runs, if you've got a player who can get on the half turn and play forward quick, that's perfect.

"That's what Dele did on Sunday, he turned, saw my run, played it perfectly into my path and I was able to finish it off. He's a great lad, a great player, as everyone has seen this season, and I'm sure he's enjoying it as we all are."

England will take on Germany in Berlin on Saturday before hosting the Netherlands at Wembley on Tuesday.
