Southampton sign Norwich City winger Nathan Redmond

Southampton have completed the signing of Norwich City winger Nathan Redmond on a five-year deal for a fee said to be around £11m.

The 22-year-old has become the Saints' first arrival of the summer after agreeing personal terms and passing a medical on Saturday.

Redmond told the official Southampton website: "I'm really pleased to have made the move to Southampton. It's a fantastic football club with excellent facilities, and I really feel I can develop my game here.

"The club's style of play has always been excellent. They like to play attacking football and it's a style I feel I can really fit in well with.

"When Southampton said they were interested it felt like the right move for me, and I can't wait to get started now."

An England Under-21 international, Redmond scored six times in the Premier League last term, but could not keep Alex Neil's side in the top flight.
