Di Canio 'does not want Rotherham job'

Paolo Di Canio has not applied for the managerial vacancy at Rotherham United, according to his agent.

A report yesterday claimed that the Italian had thrown his hat into the ring to replace the sacked Neil Redfearn, having previously applied for the position in September.

However, Di Canio's representative Phil Spencer has rubbished the speculation.

"There is no truth in this. Paolo did not apply the first time, he has never applied for the Rotherham job. There is 100% no truth in this," he told Sky Sports News.

Di Canio, 47, has been out of work since he departed Sunderland in September 2013.
