Report: Atletico Madrid's Jose Gimenez quiet on Real Madrid link

Atletico Madrid defender Jose Gimenez reportedly remained silent when questioned on a possible summer move to Real Madrid.

On Thursday, it was reported that the 21-year-old was a transfer target for Real Madrid, who are said to be prepared to activate the centre-back's £51m release clause.

According to Marca, the Uruguay international was questioned on the interest on his way out of Atletico training on Friday, but refused to comment on suggestions that he could make the move across Madrid.

Gimenez, who joined Atletico from Danubio in 2013, is contracted to his current club until the summer of 2020.
