Zinedine Zidane: 'No Real Madrid player has asked me to leave'

Zidane: "Nobody has asked me to leave"

Zinedine Zidane has expressed his optimism with retaining every player in the Real Madrid squad this summer.

Los Blancos began their 2017-18 La Liga campaign with a dominant 3-0 win at Deportivo La Coruna as Gareth Bale, Casemiro and Toni Kroos struck for the visitors.

This season, Real will be looking to defend their Spanish title, as well as going for an unprecedented third consecutive Champions League trophy.

However, transfer speculation continues to circle around the club, with the likes of Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo and Marco Asensio just some of the names doing the rounds in the rumour mill.

Zidane told reporters at the Riazor: "Nobody has asked me to leave, I want this squad as it is and I hope there won't be any changes, but until August 31 anything can happen."

Real's arch-rivals Barcelona were left reeling this summer after star player Neymar left Camp Nou to join Paris Saint-Germain.
