Nigel Adkins says that Reading have improved since he took over the team last month.

Reading manager Nigel Adkins has said that he is "delighted" with how the players have applied themselves since he took over at the Madejski Stadium.

The 48-year-old came in to replace Brian McDermott last month and has seen improvement in the Royals since he took the reins.

"I've been delighted with how [the players] have been on the training ground and you can see an excellent progression on the field of play as well," he told Get Reading.

"I don't think you can deny that, but it is about winning games of football. I'm not hiding away from that situation."

Reading take on Queens Park Rangers on Sunday.
