How Paris Saint-Germain could line up against Lyon

Sports Mole looks at how Paris Saint-Germain could line up in Sunday's Ligue 1 clash with Lyon.

Paris Saint-Germain will be looking to make it five straight wins in all competitions when they resume their 2019-20 Ligue 1 campaign away to Lyon on Sunday night.

Thomas Tuchel's side will enter this weekend's match off the back of an impressive 3-0 victory over Real Madrid in their Champions League opener on Wednesday night.

The capital giants will now switch their attention back to Ligue 1, which they currently lead with a total of 12 points from five games at the start of the 2019-20 season.

PSG have won their last three in the league against Toulouse, Metz and Strasbourg, but the French champions did suffer a 2-1 defeat at Rennes last month.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how PSG could line up at the home of Les Gones.

POSS PSG XI vs. LYON

Out: Edinson Cavani (hip), Julian Draxler (foot)
Doubtful: Kylian Mbappe (hamstring), Thilo Kehrer (foot), Colin Dagba (muscle)

Kylian Mbappe has missed PSG's last three matches with a hamstring problem, but the 20-year-old has been tipped to return to the starting XI on Sunday night.

Neymar, who scored a spectacular late winner against Strasbourg last weekend, is also available having missed the Madrid game on Wednesday night due to a European suspension.

Edinson Cavani is still struggling with a hip problem, however, and the Uruguay international will not be involved against Les Gones. The same can also be said for Julian Draxler as the German nurses a foot complaint.

Defenders Thilo Kehrer and ColIn Dagba are also doubts, suggesting that Tuchel could keep with the same back four that started against Madrid, with Thomas Meunier, who scored late on, featuring on the right.

Former Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera will be pushing for a spot in the middle of the park, but Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting is expected to remain on the bench despite a strong start to the campaign.
