Henri Lansbury considering new Nottingham Forest deal

Lansbury in talks with Forest over new deal

Nottingham Forest have confirmed that midfielder Henri Lansbury is looking to sign a new deal at The City Ground within the coming days.

The 25-year-old, who joined the Reds in 2012 after leaving Arsenal, insists that he has no reason to leave the East Midlands club.

Lansbury, who will see his current deal expire at the end of the season, told the Nottingham Post: "I think we are still discussing things. There are positives for both parties. But we are in discussions.

"Why would I want to leave here? I have found my feet here, it is a great club with a great squad and I think we have a great chance. I have been here four years now and it is a great place to be.

"It would be a long-term contract. It is nice that the chairman wants to keep me. It is ongoing at the minute and hopefully we can find some common ground."

Lansbury has made 130 appearances for Forest since making the switch from North London.
