Middlesbrough 'interested in Robin van Persie move'

Middlesbrough are reportedly interested in bringing former Manchester United and Arsenal striker Robin van Persie back to the Premier League from Fenerbahce.

Newly-promoted Premier League side Middlesbrough are reportedly interested in signing Robin van Persie this summer.

The 32-year-old scored 22 goals in all competitions for Fenerbahce last season having ended his three-year stint with Manchester United.

However, the Turkish outfit are willing to listen to offers for the Dutch forward, which has alerted Middlesbrough, according to the Daily Mail.

Boro are thought to be looking for a new striker following their promotion to the top flight, and see Van Persie as an affordable option with previous Premier League experience from his time with Arsenal and Manchester United.

Reports last week claimed that Van Persie had been offered to Crystal Palace and West Ham United for just £4m.
