Wayne Rooney is ready to tell new manager David Moyes that he wants to stay at Manchester United next season, according to a report.

The England international has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford after former boss Sir Alex Ferguson revealed that the striker had handed in a transfer request at the end of last season.

However, despite these reports, Rooney is ready to commit his future to the Red Devils and will tell Moyes in a scheduled meeting next week when the duo return from holiday, reports The Mirror.

Rooney and Moyes will be reunited at United after nine years apart when they worked together at Everton.
