Report: Manchester United's Ed Woodward seeks Tottenham talks over Harry Kane

Report: Man Utd up Harry Kane pursuit

Manchester United have reportedly refused to give up on trying to lure Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane to Old Trafford this summer.

The Premier League giants have been linked with a £50m swoop for the England international, who was named the PFA's Young Player of the Year in April.

It is believed that Spurs are unwilling to sell their prized asset, while the player himself has publicly insisted that he has no intention of leaving White Hart Lane this summer.

However, according to the Manchester Evening News, United's executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward wants to hold talks with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy regarding the possibility of a transfer for Kane.

United have already acquired the signature of Memphis Depay from PSV Eindhoven.
