Report: Manchester United interested in Robert Lewandowski

Manchester United reportedly want Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski to spearhead their attack from next season.

The Red Devils netted just five times in the final nine games of the 2018-19 campaign as they badly struggled for form.

Romelu Lukaku is expected to be given the green light to complete a move to Inter Milan and, according to TransferMarketWeb, United will turn focus to prolific marksman Lewandowski.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will supposedly be given significant funds to spend this summer and a player of Lewandowski's quality up top is the type of signing he is after.

The Poland international has enjoyed another impressive campaign in front of goal for Bayern as he found the net 40 times in all competitions, including 22 goals in the Bundesliga to once again top the scoring charts.
