Man Utd to offer Ibrahimovic coaching role?

Manchester United have reportedly discussed the possibility of Zlatan Ibrahimovic becoming a coach at Old Trafford when he eventually retires.

The 35-year-old is currently without a club after the Red Devils opted against triggering an extension to the striker's one-year deal due to injury.

The former Sweden international suffered cruciate ligament damage towards the end of last season, but manager Jose Mourinho recently confirmed that talks have begun over a possible deal that would welcome the forward back into the fold from January.

According to The Independent, during those discussions, the opportunity of a coaching role for when Ibrahimovic decides to hang up his boots has been mentioned.

Mourinho reportedly believes that the former Barcelona star would be an important go-between for players and the management, while also being able to offer his experience and knowledge.

Ibrahimovic scored 28 goals in 46 appearances in all competitions last season.
