Bruno Fernandes 'to be in stands for Manchester United's clash with Liverpool'

Sporting Lisbon attacker Bruno Fernandes could reportedly be in the stands for Manchester United's Premier League clash with Liverpool on Sunday.

Sporting Lisbon attacker Bruno Fernandes could reportedly be in the stands for Manchester United's Premier League clash with Liverpool ahead of a proposed move to Old Trafford.

The Portugal international continues to be linked with a move to the 20-time English champions, although it is thought that Sporting are not prepared to sell him before Friday's league clash with Benfica.

According to A Bola, Fernandes could be in the stands for Sunday's league match between the bitter rivals at Anfield as he closes in on a move to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.

The Red Devils were strongly linked with the 25-year-old during the summer transfer window but were unable to agree a fee with Sporting, who are currently fourth in their domestic table.

The attacking midfielder has been in impressive form at club level during the 2019-20 campaign, scoring 15 times and contributing 13 assists in 25 appearances in all competitions.

United are the only team to have taken points off Liverpool in the Premier League this season.
