Rio Ferdinand to snub offers for new Manchester United contract?

Ferdinand to sign new Man Utd deal?

Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has reportedly decided to reject a big-money move in favour of remaining at Old Trafford.

The 34-year-old had previously been linked with a move away from the former Premier League champions and it is believed that the centre-back has been offered lucrative contracts from clubs in the MLS, China and the Middle East.

Despite the interest from other clubs, it is understood that Ferdinand is due to begin talks with United over a new deal and is willing to take a pay cut in order to keep him at the club, according to the Daily Star.

Ferdinand's current contract expires at the end of the season.
