De Gea to wait until January for new Man Utd deal?

David de Gea is reportedly set to wait until January before deciding if he will sign a new contract at Manchester United.

The 28-year-old goalkeeper's current terms expire at the end of the season, meaning that if the Spaniard does not sign a fresh deal, he would be able to sign a pre-contract agreement to leave for free at the end of the campaign.

Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made the shot-stopper his captain at the start of the season so far in an attempt to convince him to sign.

However, should United fail to qualify for the Champions League this season, United players would be forced to take a 25% pay cut, something which is putting De Gea off signing, according to The Sun.

If De Gea was to be available for free, Paris Saint-Germain would be among the front-runners for his signature and would be able to offer him a lucrative contract.
